Games for Windows Now Free

It seems that Microsoft has finally discovered that PC gamers will not pay for service they have already had for free. IMAGINE! Yes now the failing Games for Windows platform has become what it should have been all along, have you never heard of Steam? Try having some real features. This along with LIVE Arcade making it to PC might be showing that Microsoft is ready to give PC gaming the old college try. 1up.com

id announced today that they will no longer be using Activision as a publisher and are instead teaming up with EA. This means that EA will be publishing Rage. Which you can see a trailer of here.

E3: Geometry Wars 2

The game that saved the Xbox 360 early in its life is returning. This time the main difference is 4 player co-op. Co-op certainly seems to be the word of the show this year, and personally I could not be happier. Working towards a common goal is one of the best gaming experiences. Check out more here.

E3: Resident Evil 5 Co-op

Resident Evil 5 has been officially dated for March 13, 2009. At first I thought that it was an after birthday gift from Capcom, but it turns out it is just Friday the 13th. Sheva Alomar will be the new co-op playable character. This game continues to look great. Check 1up for more details.

Warhawk 1.4 Update

This new update to one of the most unique offerings on the PS3 provides a wealth of new unique game types. Hero and Collection which both offer a lot of some modes you have never seen. Many more tweaks are included, but are best described over at the Playstation Blog.

Yes more Uno action is coming. The first title really grabbed a lot of people and stole more time than many would care to admit. No details have been released other than plans to give away REAL prizes, MS points etc... Maybe Eric will meet his friend once again...Oh Yeah!

E3: Major Dashboard Up Date for 360

Microsoft has announced a huge overhaul coming to the Xbox 360 dashboard this fall. This update shows a much more pleasant method of browsing and Miis..err...Avatars, yes UNIQUE avatars that you can create and use in certain games. More details I am sure will follow, thanks to Joystiq for the info.

E3: Scene It Game Goes Another Round

Scene It was a great movie trivia game for the Xbox 360. Great to get into with the non-gamer friends, and great for trash talk too ("I owned you in Pretty Woman knowledge", etc...) A follow up has been announced as Scene It Box Office Smash which can give you a reason to dust off those funky controllers. This is also be the first title supporting the new 360 avatars.

During Microsoft's Press Conference today Cliffy....Cliff Belenzski announced that Gears of War would have a 5 player Co-op. This is great, because the story portion of the original Gears always felt like the stronger portion, all the better sharing that with more friends.

Lips is an upcoming Karaoke game for the Xbox 360. This title will give players to use any music stored on their Xbox 360 harddrive. Additionally, the game will be packed with 2 wireless mics that include lights and motion sensing capabilities. As of this time the developers are uncertain as to the games ability to handle my sexy moves, but we will see. ShackNews
